Operasional Commuter Line Merak Kembali Normal hingga Stasiun Merak
KAI Commuter Line has resumed normal operations, serving passengers from Rangkasbitung Station to Merak Station. This service had previously been adjusted to only go up to Cilegon Station during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr travel period.
On March 31, 2025, Joni Martinus, the Vice President of Corporate Secretary for KAI Commuter, stated in a press release on April 1, 2025, that the Commuter Line service to Merak has returned to its regular route.

Passenger Numbers: On March 31, a total of 2,161 passengers traveled to Merak, while throughout the Eid al-Fitr period of 2025, 119,001 individuals used the Merak train service.

Busiest Station: Rangkasbitung Station saw the highest traffic, with 54,614 departures and 45,035 arrivals during this period.
The temporary adjustment, limiting the Commuter Line operations from Rangkasbitung to Cilegon, was in place from March 25 to March 30, 2025. This measure was taken to support traffic management and prevent congestion at the peak of the Eid al-Fitr exodus towards Merak Port.
Joni Martinus had previously announced on March 24, 2025, that the electric train (KRL) service would only run between Rangkasbitung and Cilegon to accommodate the expected surge in private vehicle users entering the Merak Ferry Terminal.
